1. What Thumos is

Thumos is a soul mirror. It helps you understand yourself through conversation and builds a living portrait called a soul file based on what you choose to share.

2. Data we collect

• An anonymous device-generated identifier stored on your device so the app can keep your history without asking you to create an account.
• Conversation messages that you type into the app.
• Soul file content generated from your conversations.
• Basic usage data such as session count and exchange count.

3. How we use your data

• To generate AI responses during conversation.
• To build and update your soul file.
• To preserve continuity across sessions on your device.
• To operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.

4. Third-party AI provider

Your conversation messages are processed by Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, to generate responses and help synthesize your soul file.

Anthropic states that, by default, inputs and outputs from commercial products such as the Anthropic API are not used to train its models unless the customer explicitly opts in or provides feedback for that purpose.

5. Data storage and retention

Application data is stored using Supabase and PostgreSQL.

• Conversations persist until you delete them.
• Sessions automatically complete after 72 hours of inactivity.
• Your soul file persists until you delete your data.

6. Your rights and choices

• Access: you can request a copy of your data.
• Deletion: use the in-app Delete My Data action or email us to request deletion.
• Portability: you can request an export of your data.

7. CCPA notice

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not share your data with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.

8. Children

Thumos is not intended for children under 13.

9. Website analytics

The public Thumos website may use Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate traffic and performance measurement. Cloudflare describes this as a privacy-first analytics product.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this page as the product evolves. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision.
